People are affected every day by cancer in the Coulee Region. The key to successful cancer treatment is catching it early. That's why WKBT and sponsors Mayo Clinic Health System and Health Tradition Health Plan are teaming up to spread the word about screening and early detection. The Early Detection Contest and this website are designed to help educate our community about the importance of early cancer detection. When diagnosed early, prostate, skin and breast cancer can be treatable. Survival rates for these cancers increase dramatically with early detection and treatment.

Do you have a story that would inspire others regarding the importance of screening and early cancer detection? How has someone close to you benefitted from early detection? Could you - or a friend or relative - have benefitted from early detection? Produce a 30 second or 60 second video of your personal story that encourages screening of breast, prostate or skin cancer. Written submissions are also welcome.
